Rules & Regulations

 1. Registration papers required on all animals with exception of commercial heifers, steers, and pens of three. These papers must be presented to superintendent at time of check in.
2 Animals must be registered in the exhibitors name Exhibitor limited to two animals per class, No Exceptions.
3. Health requirements as defined by the State Livestock and Poultry Commission will be followed.
4. Stall fees $5.00 per head.
5. Entry deadline September 1, 2007. Exhibitors must be residence of Van Buren County.
6. Animals will be in place no later than 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, September 11, 2007 Animals will be released at 8 00 p.m. Saturday September 15, 2007.
7. Pen of three animals cannot be shown in individual classes.
8. Bulls over one year old must have nose ring or will not be allowed to show.
9. All heifers over four months old must be calf hood vaccinated, all animals both male and female over eighteen months old must be bled and bangs tested to obtain proper health papers with exception of market steers.
10. Juniors must show their animal or they can have assistance from another Junior exhibitor. Adults are not allowed to assist a Junior exhibitor while he/she is competing in the show ring during the junior show.
11. Junior exhibitors will exhibit in Junior Show only. Open exhibitors will exhibit in Open Show only. Junior exhibitors may assist in showing open exhibitor’s animals in the Open Show.
12. The Van Buren County Fair Association and Superintendent, reserves the right to add to these rules or make any changes necessary at ay time.

Animals must be of beef breeding. Animals must be
under two years of age and still have their baby teeth.
Animals must be born prior to April 15, 2006. Animals
must be cross- bred, no pure bred animals will be eligible for class.
40. Grand Champion Commercial Heifer (Winner qualifies for Premium Auction)

42. Pen of Three Note: Can be bulls, steers, or heifers not to exceed
nine months of age. These animals will not be
allowed to show in individual classes.

weigh between 500 and 750 pounds.

48. Herdsmen Award Note: Will be given to the Junior exhibitor in Beef,
Dairy, Swine, Sheep, or Dairy Goats keeping the
neatest and cleanest exhibit during the Fair.
