Rules & Regulations

1. Market Lambs will be placed in classes by their official show weights without regard to breed. Equal numbers of lambs will be put into classes whenever possible. Market Lambs must weigh greater than 81 pounds and 140 pounds or less to be eligible for the Jr. Premium Auction.
2. Registration papers required on all sheep entering Breeding classes. These papers must be presented to Superintendent at time of check-in.
3. Animals must be registered in exhibitor’s name. Exhibitors limited to two animals per class.
NO EXCEPTIONS!
4. Animals must be free of disease and subject to be checked upon arrival.
5. Stall fees: $5.00 per head.
6. Entry deadline Sept. 1, 2007. Exhibitors must be residents of
Van Buren County.
7. Animals must be in place no later than 7 p.m. Tuesday, September 11, 2007 Animals will be released at 8 p.m. Saturday, September 15, 2007.
8. Juniors must show their animals or can have assistance from another Junior exhibitor. Adults are not allowed to assist Junior exhibitors while they are competing in the show ring during the Junior Show.
9. Junior exhibitors will exhibit in Junior Show only. Open exhibitors will exhibit in the Open Show only. Junior exhibitors may assist in showing Open exhibitors animals in the Open Show.
10. The Van Buren County Fair Association and Superintendent reserves the right to add to these rules or make changes necessary at anytime.

(A Commercial Ewe is a female sheep that is a cross-bred or a purebred that is ineligible for registration. No registered animals are allowed to compete in these classes.
