Rules & Regulations
1. Animals will be
entered from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday, September 11, 2007. Animals
will be released at 8 p.m. Saturday, September 15, 2007.
2. New laws require testing prior to entering grounds! Animals must
be free of Pullorum-Typhoid, Salmonella diseases and will be subject
to blood test on arrival unless belonging to the following
categories, Broilers, Breeder Birds, (including turkeys, originating
from Pullorum- Typhoid clean flocks); Poultry chain projects
(originating from Pullorum-Typhoid clean flocks); waterfowl.
3. Turkeys are subject to tests by tube method only and at official
laboratories. Therefore, all turkeys not coming from Pullorum-typhoid,
Salmonella free flocks must be tested prior to show.
4. This applies to ducks and geese since individual ownership and
age cannot be established or verified. Entries will be limited to
two of each sex per exhibitor’s family.
5. This applies to geese since geese mate for life, geese will be
shown in pairs only.
6. The Van Buren County Fair Association and Superintendent reserves
the right to add to these rules or make any necessary changes at
anytime.
7. Pens will be provided.
8. Feed will be furnished.
9. Feed, water, facilities and care is the responsibility of the
Fair Association.

Junior Division: 50¢ per point
Senior Division: 60¢ per point
Entries will consist of:
A. Recognized laying breeds
B. Meat or Broiler Production
C. Fancy Hybrids
Singles

1 .Old Trio (1 Cock, 2 Hens)
2. Young Trio (1 Cock, 2 Hens)
Broilers
1 .Up to 3 lbs.
2. Over 3 lbs.
3. Pens of 5 pullets
Note: For 4-H and FFA ONLY! These pens of 5 pullets will be
auctioned off Saturday, September 16, 2006 at 11:00 a.m. Bids will
be accepted all week at the Extension Office - 745-7117.
4. Grand Champion pen of 5 pullets (Winner qualifies for Premium
Auction).
5. Reserve Grand Champion pen of 5 pullets (Winner qualifies for
Premium Auction).
